Traveling Back in Time
Legends be an classical part of our life they helped us explain things we acceptt understand or just for the story. The poems show us how these stories can still be inspiring to this day. Greek Mythology is an important part of our history, the Greeks told many tales of heroes battling creatures and the gods. We tell these stories to our children just as the Greeks had done. The poems populate with a view, Daedalus and, Orpheus Meets Eurydice in the Underworld are entirely poems that make reference to these Greek legends.
The poem Room with a view by Robert Moore is about Penelope, the wife of Odysseus the great teller and king. Poem involves her waiting on the return of her husband from the besieging of Troy, this journey takes Odysseus many years to complete. It is during this time that a coarse numbers of suitors come to Penelope wishing to marry her, she forever spurns their advances until the return of her husband from Troy, at which point he kills either the suitors on his way to see Penelope. This interpretation of Penelope in the poem shows a very interesting view of how she unbroken herself from button to other men by pleasuring herself.



This kept her from going near other men, but she seemed to be getting link up to it. Upon Odysseuss return she seems sad that she has to give up withdrawal method and had to return to male companionship.

Daedalus by Tom Dawe relates to the story of Daedalus and Icarus as they escape from the tower built by King Minos to toss them for Daeduluss failure in creating a labyrinth to halt the Minotaur. But Daedalus being an inventor made a conception for how he and his son Icarus could escape. He gathered the stray feathers of seagulls and vertebral column them together with wax to create two sets of wings, with which he and Icarus could engross to escape.
