Traveling to Devastation
Its impossible to escape the horrors the quite a little of Haiti faced as they coped with the afterwardmath of a massive earthquake on their small, everywherecrowded island. As Haiti couldnt rebuild because they dont have the resources, multiple countries mobilized and sent humanitarian relief. The airport on the island was damaged so my team of relief workers traveled on board a ship. Within a week after the quake, we arrived to the most displaced third world country Ive constantly saw.
When I stepped out of the hot, stuffy ship into the bright, dazzling sun beaming down across the burning deck, I tangle nervous and excited. I couldnt believe it! The ocean danced to a lower place the sunlight which was sparkling insensately on the rippling waves looking over the devastation of Port-au-Prince Haiti. I stood there taking it all in, the Haitian sun beating down on my uncovered head, heating and basking my arms in its radiance. Before I knew it, we had all our gear wheel and we were on a small craft heading to shore. I thought I was prepared for what was to come as we exhausted the next incalculable time giving aid to the bulk of Haiti.

We arrived ashore to the ports and unloaded our gear onto the streets which had been crumbled up like a blown up brick building. Within minutes I mat up the rumbling of the ground underneath us. It felt like a train was coming down the road. The smell of a sound dumpster at a butcher shop, having been unattended for weeks surrounded the domain of a function.
