FDR Leadership
During World War II, President Roosevelt took office after vacuum which is known as our worst President, and Roosevelt showed The United States great leadership through the war. President Roosevelt led The United States through devil major crisis: The Great Depression and World War II.   On March 11, 1941 Roosevelt had Congress pass the Lend-Lease Act, which provided Britain and Russia with arms via enlist but with no conditions for repayment. As the president said, When your neighbors house is on fire, ace does not haggle over the price to vagabond it out, the hose is readily loaned and the price is figured later. FDR is considered the number champion president of these United States and was in office longer than any other president still till this day. FDR was always on that point for the American people and his reference. He spoke live on the radio in front of the fireplace in the unclouded house (known as Fireside Chats) and said what the people privationed to hear. A good leader is someone who truly understands the audience and their problems and tries to connect with the audience in basic terms. FDR did not flack to put on airs and talk down to the American People but rather used words that everyone knew so that his message was clear.



On December 7, 1941 the Japanese attacked our naval plant in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Roosevelt called it a day of infamy. The Japanese bombed us without any warning and before declaration of war. People were partiality broke and thousands of people were killed. The U.S.S. West Virginia sunk in flames, one of seven battleships sunk or badly damaged during the attack.
