Heritage is an important part of everyones life. My family and I come some of the traditions that have been passed down from generations to generations. For example, we cook things a real way simply because that was the way grandma cooked it. Furthermore, people black market to hold their tradition and heritage over anything else. In the short story Everyday Use by Alice Walker, cardinal sisters portray their contrasting family views on what they perceive to be heritage. The thought process that a quilt is a part of a familys floor is what the narrator is trying to point out. They are not adept parts of cloth put in concert to falsify a blanket. The quilt represents their ancestors lives and tells a story with each individual stitch. They had been pieced together by my Grandma Dee and Big Dee they hung them on the quilt frames on the front porch and quilted them. One was in the Lone corpus pattern.
