I chose to view Girl Interrupted. Girl Interrupted is nearly a young girl Susanna, living in the 1960s, who chose to smorgasbord a bottle of Advil with a bottle of vodka in take in charges to get rid of a headache. Susanna, a girl brought up in home where prestige and image mattered. After her half-hearted attempt at suicide she checked herself into (forced by her parents), into Claymoore psychtratic hospital, a psychical psychiatric hospital for girls. Claymoore is where she stayed for the next two years. While at the institution she made friends with many different girls including a sociopath named Lisa, a burn victim named Polly, and a pathological liar, Georgina, her roommate. Susanna also make a close bond with one of the nurses who helped her realize that she wasnt crazy and would be able to overcome the comfortabilitly that she began to feel fleck in the institution. Throughout the entire movie it shows the struggle Susanna has dealing with the oppression of confinement. Susanna writes about how the women that are put is instiutions are pigoened holed and wear offt have an opportunity to make a all-encompassing recovery.




The most influencial relationship Susanna formed was with a patient named Lisa. Lisa, a sociopath, was nonorious for chemiseing out and not following the rules of the hospital. Lisa impact Susannas stay at Claymoore by convincing her not to take her medication, breaking out, and choosing to resist the help that was being offered. Lisa was submissive in Susanna finding Daisy dead, a patient who was recently discharged, afterward committing suicide. Daisy death was a turning point of Susanna. Lisa had convinced Susanna to break out of the hospital and flee to Florida. The two girls decided to verification at Daisys house for the night.
