Toyota has long been considered an industry drawing card and innovator in terms of quality, production, customer service and loyalty. For decades, otherwise companies, even those outside the automotive industry have desperately tried to emulate Toyota in rate to achieve worthiness in production and sales. Many a company has drop millions upon millions of dollars trying to implement a Just in snip (JIT) production system like Toyota. Most of them failed.
