letter from Birmingham
Reading this letter from Birmingham Jail by Martin Luther King, Jr. was a little lamentable to read especially growing up when racism and secernment were not the biggest issues where Im from. As I was class period it, I felt mixed emotions because it is very hard to find out myself in Kings position. Going twenty-four hour period to day tolerateting pissed off just because of the color of your skin, it isnt right. Daddy, why do white large number treat colored passel so mean? (376) I feel terrible for the people that have to try and explain to their children why they get tough the fashion they do.
Its hard to under bag that only 50 years later, people who take away against colored people ar looked down upon. Back then people who didnt discriminate were looked down upon. The fact that the government didnt put a stop to it and try and help those who were getting humiliated and harassed on a daily basis but preferably were all for it is shocking, and to think about how it has changed since then.

Its so ill-timed getting sent to jail for standing up for the way you were born; for the color of your skin.
If it wasnt for Martin Luther King, Jr. standing up for himself and so many others we might still have been in the same position as it was back then. He got so many people to stand beside him and make petition to stand up for what is right. I honor what he did, for him and the rest of this country. Let us all hope that that the dark clouds of racial mischief will soon pass away and the deep murk of misunderstanding will be lifted from our fear-drenched communities.
