My activities such as shopping, exercising, work, and church are all done outside of the Center Point vicinity. Even though I drive by means of the inner city often, I have never considered myself as being a part of the neighborhood. Reflecting on my Windshield Survey I learned a community can be considered as a group of people who lives in ratiocination proximity sharing a part of the environment (Stanhope & Lancaster, 2008). flavour at Center Point from a personal horizon my focus will be on items that can be change from a nurses perspective. The number of teenagedage pregnancy is alarming in some parts of Alabama. According to the Alabama Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, Alabama has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the United States and this includes Center Point, Alabama. In 2009, 8,365 children were born who mother ranged between the ages 10-19 (Reeves, 2010, para. 1). As I look around at all the young girls, it seems as if teen pregnancy is acceptable in this neighborhood. My first diagnosis is: ineffectual Community Coping skills related to increased levels in teen pregnancy. Intervention: Assess teenagers knowledge about sex and sexual urge to determine their educational needs.
