all over these past couple of weeks I was analyzing the different forms of media that were being presented to me a couple of exposures stood out to me that I viewed on BET. The movies that I dedicate viewed include: Get Rich or Die arduous and N.O.T.O.R.I.O.U.S. Each of these movies is based on the early lives of superstar sick rappers, one whom is dead. In watching these movies I was fit to make grow a line how the media projects this image of the ghetto as a sign of being disgraceful or ghettocentricity as described in our class. In appurtenance to this there are many instances in which the media portrays the black manlike in the same ways described in the refinement section of this class. In addition to these movies I think it go out provide insight to compare them to a similar movie in which the protagonist is a white rapper instead. This go forth further show that it is these fabrications by the media that makes you black not your family, background, or skin color.
In the movie Notorious, the rapper biggie smalls is raised in a single parent home. His home is not overcome down he has his own room and his mother is able to provide him clothes on his back. He does not tell apart his father who has left his mother upon his birth.



Although he does not restrain the most expensive clothing or a vast house his mother is still able to put him with school. This scenario starts of relatively normal and does not have a ghetto furiousness except for the fact that he does not know his father. curtly after that we find the protagonist at school where he notices a few kids with nice clothes and shoes. It is after this that he inquires as to how they were able to afford these items. It is really from this point on that all the ghetto chic as Hutchinson put it comes out.
