A Day As Director

My role in Silicon Valley Technologies simulation is the theatre director of Advanced Development in go with V. My main transmission line is overseeing the both impertinentfound products developing lines in SVT. These two new product lines are audio products and sound suppression products. These two products are very different from the traditional product lines of SVT Inc. two product lines have big potential in the future day but both of them have some issues. These issues are partially related to the business operation and partially related to the guild management. During this simulation, I adopt to discuss these issues with my two direct reports; managers for new product development and my manager, VP of new product development. I allow focus my scope in this paper mainly on four topics; they are influencing people, phase of development, active listening and counterpoint management.
Influencing people
Influencing people is a very important technique in interpersonal communication under corporate environment. In the SVT simulation, t holdher are several situations where I need to apply these skills. For example, company is forecasting a huge growth figure abutting year in one of my new product line.



However, the occurrent product lines have already been fully utilized, unless the company adding ternary more product lines, we are not able to hit the forecasting figure for next year. So I need to negotiate the budget with the VP and in the mean time, I am trying to push the limit for product line manager. I am having the perpetrate-field model in mind when I discussed the issues with on both parties. I try to increase the driving force on my product manager to get more creative and reduce the restraint force on my VP to get more budgets. When I communicate to these people, I am using acute persuasion technique by presenting the data and effective uptake of cost/benefit analysis to get their approval. This technique flora well in this situation.
