Introduction:In this paper, I will attempt to bear and explain how the spend of textual aspect in melodious field has played a crucial role in fueling the advancement of twentieth century musical comedy theater from an orchestral aesthetic to a vocal and lyric aesthetic. I will comp be Richard Strauss to his predecessor Richard Wagner to demonstrate his move from gambling in the orchestration to maneuver in the expression of sound, melody, and lyric. Wagner makes use of long, somewhat never ending phrases with wide ranges to express the drama; essentially Wagners method was to implore difficult technical performance practices to the composition to capture the audiences interest.
