The term science may be thought process of as an approach or attitude rather than a field of subject matter. Since scientific methods were first used in the investigation of physical phenomena, usage has identified science with the physical world. Since these are newer areas of investigation their results have not achieved the credence and status that come with the greater maturity and longer tradition of the physical sciences.



There exist today bodies of opinion in politics, religion, and some academic disciplines that man is not the proper study of mankind.
Because human behavior is so complex, it is much more tight to develop sound theories of human behavior than it is to develop theories that expect occurrences in the purely physical world.
