Masters of Arts in English - Sample Essay for Masters in English

Master's of Arts in English - Sample Essay for Masters in EnglishThis is my sample essay for a Master's of Arts in English class. However, it's not like most sample essays for MAs. Instead, this is from a class that teaches minors and advanced learners. With that in mind, I think it's an excellent sample essay to show in the class. What we will be analyzing is the essay in the third paragraph of the essay. In essence, we are going to be evaluating whether or not the subject matter is reflective of this individual's maturity level and emotional state. Now, I'll tell you right now that I'm much more interested in how to keep my instructor and classmates interested in the subject, but I will leave that to your imagination. Let's move on.The first fundamental nature to understand about the essay is that our main character, Richard, is fully aware of his true identity. From the title itself, he is a fly. From his descriptions, we are being told that this fly is an infestation of truth. So, a good thing for him to know, I guess. We'll get to that in a moment. The main objective of the piece is to let the reader understand that irrational life. Now, let's examine what Richard describes in the second paragraph. He admits to getting in trouble at school, and even being expelled. He believes that he is losing his life because of society's norms, but he's not being accused of doing anything wrong. Still, he says he's going to have to make some big changes to re-establish himself. The third paragraph of the essay is almost entirely about Richard's writing. We are going to be being told about what he likes, hates, and what he's interested in. His opinions are and have always been few and far between, but he has many loyal followers who are writing articles about him for fun.I think the best thing to learn from this essay is to be prepared for some harsh criticism of myself and what I've written. I think Richard was probably better off without me, but he's still going to be ups et that I even wrote it.So, the purpose man is what I've been trying to keep in mind throughout. I hope I've helped you see it.
